Reiki (pronounced Ray-Kee) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by laying hands on or near the body and is based on the idea that an unseen 'life force energy' flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's 'life force energy' is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
A typical session involves you lying comfortably, fully clothed, on a massage table or seated in a chair. Julianna will gently place her hands lightly on or just above specific areas of the body, allowing energy to flow where it's needed most. Many people experience deep relaxation, warmth or tingling sensations.
Most sessions last 60 minutes, though shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on your needs.
Sessions for animals vary from 30-60 minutes depending on your pet's needs and comfort level. Some animals may only engage for a short time, and that's perfectly fine. The session is always guided by the animal.
